Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine Sullivan was born and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam Her mother, who is an ex-backup singer at Philadelphia International Records. Her father proposed her to take on an opportunity to be the curator of the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She and her family later moved into the historical landmark. The year 2005 marks her Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student and a major in the field of vocal music. Sullivan performed as the contralto in the children's choir and later sang in the adult chorus. Sullivan was not exposed to secular music until he was a teenager. "I began singing in solos in churches, and one of my friends suggested I sign up to a gospel record when I was 11. But I wasn't prepared for the task," she says. "I got lucky enough to be selected for the McDonald's competitionthat offered students from big cities the opportunity to perform 'Accept that God is God's Will'. The audience responded very well." She was just 13 when she sang along in a duet with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday celebration. Sullivan was initially signed to Jive Records at the age fifteen. It was her first time signing with Jive Records around the age of 15. She produced an entire album. However, this album did not see release. Sullivan was then dropped by the label. Missy Elliott was the producer for a few tracks from their debut album. The most notable of these was "Backstabbers" by Timbaland and Timbaland, which Elliott produced and produced, was her favorite song.
